Summer holidays

In my opinion, this year has been more calm than last year, which means that even the holidays will be enjoyable now (I hope so...).
If I could choose, I would love to go again to Chiloé. A friend has family there and has been talking about a chance that we could get to spend a few weeks with her there. Also, my sister in law invited us to Perú on the holidays, which is an amazing opportunity for someone that doesn't have too much money at the time. The two options and really cool places to meet new people, as both places are tourist destinations where a lot of people from different parts of the world arrive.
Yet, I have to be realistic, and the best and most likely to happen is that I'll stay in Santiago and maybe I'll go to Valparaíso for a few days, to a friend's house. If that's the case, I hope that I can work at least whole January and make some money so I can stay at least a week in Valpo. Somedays, after work I could go to San Cristobal hill or take some pictures of Santiago almost empty, something that you can enjoy when you don't have money enough to get out of the city.
In worst-case scenario, I will stay in Santiago the whole summer, lying in bed not doing much, maybe attending to those concerts that people who takes pity of the ones that stay in here organize to save our lives a little. A good plan too is to go to the museums in the afternoon, trying to avoid the heat of the city. In those littles oasis is possible to find others that are escaping too, and that is really cool too. But the best thing that could happen is to have a friend that hasn't gone or isn't going to be able to go on holidays and you can share with them too.
In any case, I hope that I can enjoy and rest so I can be ready for the next year and all its challenges.
