Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes
In my opinion, Arts faculty, particularly Visual Arts career, lacks of some important things to have a complete experience of learning (some more important or clear than others).
First of all, the facilities should be remodeled, some of the classrooms have water leaks or haven't been built in order to support the classes. For example, the illumination studio is really small therefore we're not able to work with differents depths of field, and it doesn't have the equipment to work effectively, the one that exists now is old or has to be mainteined constantly.
Also, I would include other arts, which are becoming important nowadays, like digital illustration. I've seen a few friends leave the faculty because they don't know how to develop their interest on classes. In this case, drawing classes could work as a space where whoever wants to work on a digital format, could work on it.
Finally, in an administrative way, technology should be more friendly, because at the moment of taking courses we have to check them out with the secretaries, filling papers and losing everybody's time. Maybe a simpler interface which could allow to work faster may help in having everyone's information on time.
To be honest some changes are being made to improve the carreer, at least in a curricular way, like the addition of new courses and the ways thesis can be handled. Nevertheless, some of the improvents that should be made can't happen because a lack of the money that arrives from the university organization (we all know where the money goes first). Anyway, some changes may arrive sooner than others, but we have to at least understand the problems and try to work on posible solutions to them.
